Provides a foundation of knowledge in the welfare, behaviour, management and handling of companion and production animals, emphasizing the role of the veterinarian. Laboratory exercises will emphasize hands-on experience in animal handling and restraint with common animal species.

Restriction(s): Must be enrolled in the first year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) Program.
Note: Students with credit for VLAC 211 will not receive credit for this course.
